  • Flame Shock DoT present
  • Lava Burst (whenever it's up or on proc)

Combustion: use when Ignite, LB and Pyroblast are on the target.

Arcane Mage

Rotation
(1) Burn Phase - Blast spam until at 40% mana, then Evocation. Switch to Conserve
(2) Conserve Phase - Blast, Blast, Barrage, Blast, Blast, Barrage, throw  in Missle whenever it procs.Switch back to Burn on calculation

Calculation is to work out how long before Evocation comes off GCD & depends on speed at throwing Blast (i.e. 4 minutes CD so at 2.3sec per Blast and 1.5sec per Barrage, its ... god knows, as it depends on AB cost and your mana to see how long Burn Phase will take to consume your Mana. I'll work it out as a formula ... some other time.

Glyphs
Prime: Mage Armour, Arcane Blast, Arcane Missle
Major: Arcane Power, Evocation, any
Minor:Mirror Image, Conjuring, any

Stats
Bastards wont say, because 'they get set in stone and vary on gear'. well duh. Int first, then (I think ) Mastery > Haste > Crit, but god knows.

Healadin

Rotation (ha!)
The basic order of business between the two styles is roughly the same.
Beacon will be a sizable portion of healing, and is usually best served on a tank, which one will depend on your total setup and strategies. Healing will come from Holy Light and Holy Shock, with divine light replacing HL under higher healing requirements. Effective use of Holy Power will ensure Holy shock is useful, but diminishes as you approach the GCD cap from haste due to the loss in output outweighing the efficiency gain.

Light of Day and Holy Radiance are AoE heals. HR should not be used for burst healing, but general wide-distribution, use on CD when the group is getting hit not just the tank.

Remember to Judge enemies for mana recovery (I keep forgetting)

Stats

4 spare points, possibly in Blessed Life, Enlightened Judgements#2, Last Word#2, Eternal Glory, Improved Judgement. Also, can drop Aura Master (make 5th tier 3-0-2) in favour of 4th tier (makes it 2-1-3-1). I recommend doing this, plus 1 pt to make LastWord#2, 2pts of Blessed Life, and 1pt in Eternal Glory

Macros

Retardin:

DPS CDs
#showtooltip
/cast Zealotry
/cast Avenging Wrath
/cast Templar's Verdict
/startattack

At 3 HP this will pop both your DPS cooldowns simultaneously. Stack the macro further by adding in a binding for Use trinkets, a Golemblood Potion, Synapse Springs, or similar.

Avenging Wrath
#showtooltip
/cast Avenging Wrath
/cast Hammer of Wrath
/startattack

Note that you may need to press this a few times. Above 20% it often takes your client a short time to confirm that HoW is a legitimate attack when AW was cast. Until your client admits HoW can be cast, it will not perform the attack.

Zealotry
#showtooltip
/cast Zealotry
/cast Templar's Verdict
/startattack

Holy Wrath and Consecration
#showtooltip
/castsequence [mod:alt] reset=14 Holy Wrath, Consecration
/startattack

You should generally not drop Consecration if HW is off cooldown. By combining to one button you can save some bar space. Via alt-button you could still cast Consecration, if desired, or if HW is in the last second of CD and you need to juice a few more precious DPS.

Attack Consolidation macro
#showtooltip
/cast [nomodifier] Templar's Verdict; /cast [modifier:shift] Inquisition

Allows you to collapse your HP abilities to a single button.

Affliction Lock

Rotation:
  • Haunt
  • Bane of Doom
  • Corruption
  • Unstable Affliction, OR Drain Soul (when below 25% target)
  • Shadowflame (only if in range)
  • Demon Soul
  • Shadow Bolt or Drain Life (preference)
Basically, using Demon Soul on cooldown is important, preferably with on "Use" trinkets. After that it is simply a case of keeping Unstable Affliction, Corruption and Bane of Doom up as much as possible, while casting Haunt on cooldown to keep 100% uptime on the debuff. After that, simply spam Shadow Bolt or channel Drain Life.

ROTATION

Single Target Rotation:
Shield Slam > Revenge > Rend > Devastate
when over 50 rage, add Heroic Strike

AOE Threat Priority:
Rend > Thunder Clap > Shockwave > Revenge
when over 50 rage, add Cleave

Interrupt Priority:
Spell Reflection > Shield Bash > Shockwave > Concussion Blow
add Charge/Intercept, Heroic Throw, & Intimidating shout where feasible

GLYPHS
Prime Glyphs:
  • Shield Slam, Revenge, Devastate: The only viable options.
Major Glyphs:
  • Shockwave, Thunder Clap, Cleaving: All excellent choices for AoE situations.
  • Spell Reflect, Long Charge, Rapid Charge, Sunder Armor, Intercept: Decent choices, especially if AoE threat is a non-issue. Spell Reflect in particular can be of great use against caster trash.
Minor Glyphs:
  • Demoralizing Shout: Required if there's any chance you'll have to use Demo during a fight.
  • Battle, Command: If you're in charge of using either of these shouts to maintain their buffs, use the appropriate glyph.
  • Intimidating Shout: Surprisingly good glyph for instance trash. Potentially 8 seconds of CC onto an entire pack of enemies with no downside. Great panic button, or simply to use as an additional interrupt.
  • Berserker Rage: Filler glyph. 5 rage every 30 seconds is barely worth mentioning, but you may as well use it if there's no utility glyph to put in its place.

Quick note of explanation

This is intended primarily as a quickref for my own use, for my various WOW toons, to note best talent spreads, equipment, rotations, etc, initially lifted straight from the inimitable ElitistJerks website, and as amended when I find other credible commentaria (and possibly by my own experience).

In as much as the information is tailored, it is modified to suit my own personal playing style, recognising that fat & slightly arthritic fingers and reflexes aren't necessarily capable of keeping up with the theoretical optima. All explanatory notes etc from the sources have been stripped away in the interests of preserving maximum referentiality for myself - if you want explanations or understanding, go to ElitistJerks and read their expositions, which range from good to breathtakingly superb.
